The fact is that the DXF format contains a tremendous amount of whitespace and I am not surprised by the ratio you indicate. Try compressing the DXF file into a zip file, and I believe you will get a similar ratio. I was surprised that an DXF Files (containing no Attributes) with the size of 66MB was imported into a a TAB of only 2.9 MB. The resulting Objects in the Table are Regions. Is this always the amount of reduction of space or did i loose some informations? No error messages were displayed. Thanks in Advance.
