Just curious if anyone has compared the realtive speed of queries, indexing, and table structure changes between native .dat files and .dbf files. I have recently defaulted to dbf files due to the ability to use the same file across MapInfo, Excel, SPSS, and a geocoder. Very handy, but am I shooting myself in the foot when it come to efficient MapInfo work? All opinions welcome. ____________ Kent Treichel Analyst-GIS Tax Research Minnesota Department of Revenue MS 2230 600 North Robert St St. Paul, MN 55146-2230 651-556-6150
