Eric, was just about to reply but was beaten by faster folk.. This is one of the issues that splits the esri-philes from the mapinfo-philes, personally i dont care if i have a docked layer manager tool on a GIS or not. Sometimes its handy, sometimes its a pain, but a lot of Eesri users really miss it when they switch to Mapinfo.... i'm sure there are third party add ons that do an esri-like layer tool for mapinfo ... so happy hunting ... but beware as soon as you get more than a handful of layers open it just takes up viewing room...
if this is a possible feature in Mi8 can we have it as an option please...i would dearly love to be able to hide the darn thing r -----Original Message----- From: Eric Gagnon [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 08 December 2004 17:16 To: Mapinfo List Subject: MI-L Layer control tool Hi everyone, Is there a tool that would make my "layer contol" window stick on my screen so I wouldn't have to open and close it each time I want edit a layer. (stick beside my map window) I sure hope there's a tool available instead of waiting for Mapinfo to put it in there 8. something version. I would also make a great christmas gift.... ;-) Eric Gagnon, B.Sc., GIS Specialist --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 14443 ********************************************************************* This e-mail message, and any files transmitted with it, are confidential and intended solely for the use of the addressee.
