Well, it can almost solve your problem, but not quite, because I got lazy when I made the application, so it requires the objects in the origin table are points and if they are not the application automatically uses the centroid of these. But the objects in the destination table can be any kind of object (point, polyline, line and polygon) and the application will find the shortest distance to the any point on this object.
