But...anyway: Can you edit a textfile on a ftp server. Open 5 GB text files (like elevation data). Make a macro to the database department when the give up on creating a db quiry to a text field. ... ... And best of them all: Get replies from the father of UE Mr IDM within a day. Got to stop now the wife is bitching and kids screaming. >> Uffe: PS: This must be part of the Friday funnies :-) WHAT ?!!! ;)... I have a setup description to MapBasic on my half dead site http://www.lanstorp.com under link ultraedit, not only excellent for mapbasic kode, but also a very good text editor. If you have problems with the setup you welcome to mail me. Ultraedit is one on the three applications I want with me in the grave. The two others are not yet decided. Up until now I have been a native Mapbasic user stubling through. I am testing out a couple of text Editors with Syntax Highlighting and Custom Commands to activate the Mapbasic Compiler when required. I would like to know of anyone has any recommendations of this type of software they use.
