If you use one of these three methods: - Set Style ... you will be able to specify certain styles to be used for the objects you create. Note that from MapInfo 7.0 (I think) MapInfo can differentiate between a pen for a line and for a region (orderPen/LinePen) - you can use Alter Object <obj> Info OBJ_INFO_PEN, <new penstyle> to alter the style on an existing object - you can when using Create Region specify the styles to be used
