Hi Jose,

That is one of the features in our Data Assistant extension from MapInfo.
Select the point of interest, and then select Data Assistant > Select
Objects > Nearest Objects to Selected Objects. Enter the number of "closest
objects" to select, and a new table will be created in order of closest
objects increasing to those further away.

Alternatively, if you want the table to list the actual distance from your
selected point to all objects in the second table (listed in either
ascending or descending order), select Data Assistant > Object Analysis >
Distances to Object.

You can download a trial version from www.datadirections.com.au

Regards,

Bill

Subject: MI-L sort table by closest point from a selected one

> Hi my friends, I have a table with customers, what I need is to select one
point and based on the selection sort all the table with the succesive
closest point. Try to explain: select one point would be the first in a
sorted table, the closest point will be the second, the third would be the
closest to the second one and so on.
