If you have Vertical Mapper you do not want MIG files. Create your grid files (GRD files) with VM and do the contour in VM also. You can think of MIG files as baby VM GRD files. Mvh. | Regards

I've created a mig file from thematically mapping points with values in a defined study area. The resulting display shows areas of high values (hot spots) to zero valued areas. I would like to contour a region specified at a particular valued (ie. from 0 to 100, I want a vector polygon delineating areas with values between 75 and 100). I have Vertical Mapper but it doesn't seem to recognize MapInfo Grid (odd... since I think VM only works with MapInfo). My question is, what is a mig file and how come Vertical Mapper doesn't recognize it? And since VM doesn't recognize it, what is a work-around for what I'm trying to achieve?
