hi all interested in 3D fro MapInfo the "best of" products at decent prices and easy to use are:
- FME: the surface modeling factory can handle points, contours and breaklines at once. did once a grid from 70'000'000 points (yes, 70 millions, data from laser scanning in real high res), see www.safe.com - 3D for MapInfo: Engage 3D is real 3D (VM is a nice toy for small datasets, however it is not 3D, it is weak 2.5D), see www.encom.com.au (this thing makes mapinfo and you fly!)
