Hello Dale,

Our RouteFinder product will do this out-of-the-box and may be the
easist to use.

If you prefer to use the RW Net product (SDK), it can also do the same
stuff, except you need to do some mapbasic programming. But you really
need the Standard version as a minimum - with the Free version you will
only be able to process a smaller part of Hobart and the required
functions are not available there.

Kind regards

Subject: MI-L Road Network (Rw Net)

Listers,

I'm new to MapInfo and I have a digitized roads layer
containing major roads for the whole state. I also have 230 stations
which may or may not lie on a major road the idea is to find the
distance to the closest station along the road. I have downloaded RW
Net. Is there a way I can do this on the demo mode or can anyone give me
some sample code for RW Net in MapBasic that does something like this?
Or better still does anyone have a program or know of a program that can
do this?

Cheers,

Dale Atkinson
