If you are using the MapInfo 3.0 symbols or the MapInfo Symbols you'll see that
many of the symbols are shown twice, one with a colored center and once with a
transparent center.

So just choose those with a transparent center.

Unfortunately there is no "transparent" color in MapInfo even though this also
could have helped you.

Subject: MI-L Transaparent Symbols

Hi Everyone:

I am working on a map where I would like to have my symbols transparent. I
could not find an option to change the transparency/translucency (MI version
7.8). Does anyone know of changing the transparency of symbols? I am able to
successfully change the styles of 'regions' to transparent but not
'symbols'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
