I think the problem might be that you haven�t specified thecoordsys that should be used. Try to run this command before running the select statement

For this version of Mapinfo, I did not install MapBasic. Is it necessary to install MapBasic for Mapinfo 7.0 Pro, if I would like to use such a function as "distance"?
