You can combine the tables, so that the 2nd grid (e.g. buildings) extrudes through the 1st grid.

So for any grid cells in the terrain table where there is a building, you replace the terrain's z value with the building's z-value.

Is it practical to display more than one grid files in a 3D Map? For
example, a 3D model of buildings on top of a 3D terrain model. My experience
so far would suggest not. It's not obvious how the Create 3D Map command is
working - there is no explicit way to identify what MI should do with each
grid, i.e. how they relate to each other.
