Hi Brendan

Do you have a USB flash disk reader attach to your PC? I have experienced
the same type of error in MapInfo/MapBasic for some time until i found that
removing my USB 6-in-1 reader was causing all the trouble.

Just a hint.

Dear Experts,

I have a workspace which opens a number of tabs with no view.
The tabs "call" Geosoft grid files and a few registered jpgs.
The tabs calling the grid files were created with Encom's Discover.
I also have the free Mapimagery installed. I can open MapInfo and open the
workspace OK.
I then close all and leave Mapinfo open and try to open the same workspace
again only to get this error

The instruction at "0x77fcc83d" reference memory at "0x3c8d02e1". The
memory could not be written .
Click OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

This problem happens with MapInfo 7.8 but not with 7.5

Is this the memory leak I have read about about and is there anything I can
do to cure it?

Regards
