I think the problem is that your map view is using a Lat/Long coordinate
system. MI2SVG creates maps simply assuming that the coordinates are
orthogonal, but decimal degrees are not that way.

The way to fix it is to use a standard map projection or build a "plate
carree" or an orthographic projection into MI2SVG for decimal degree
coordinates.

MI2SVG is an experimental toy built more or less as a tool to explore the
world of SVG by leveraging what we already have in MapInfo. I included the
source so that everyone can see how it works, and can take it further if
they wish. So feel free to extend it and if you come up with improvements, 
please let me know.
