Walt Cygan wrote some code that does this --
http://www.mp2kmag.com/importersub01.asp

As I remember it was not perfect and still needed some bugs to be worked out
writing the mif/mid, but I got it to work.

Note that it only writes out the drawing objects / shapes and pushpins, not any
of the built-in cartographic data.

With a little programming it is possible through the MapPOint API to extract
the lat and long from pushpins and other data sets from MapPoint.
I don't know of a direct MapPOint to MI conversion tool however.

Subject: MI-L MapPoint -> MapInfo Pro Import

Hi,

Does anyone know if the situation has changed with regards to importing
MapPoint data/files into MapInfo Pro? All of the postings seem to indicate that
there is no support (or tools) to accomplish an import into MapInfo but that
one can do the import in the reverse direction (MapInfo -> MapPoint)? Best
regards,
