That's what it means. The canonical US street address is number, prefix direction, street name, street type, suffix direction, and unit number. The classic ugly address is 123 E E E St. = 123E East E Street. But they can be weird in other ways, to wit: 2308 S. St. - Street name can look like a pre-directional 19 West Blue Valley Rd - Is pre-dir "West" or is street name "West Blue Valley?" Simple geocoding in plain MapInfo requires that your addresses EXACTLY match the street names in the street table. Commercial grade geocoders like MapMarker use all kinds of extra techniques for matching addresses to the database and allow for more fuzzy spelling of addresses. Of course, you pay a little more for the convenience! ;-) - Bill Thoen --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 16225
