Dear List I have been trying to work out how to join two tables (an old Map Plot with the 1971, 1981 and 1991 data with the newly created 2001 Map plot) just on the basis of a geographic join (the tables do not have common columns) but have not managed to find out how to do it. I have got as far as knowing that I have to use SQL and in the where clause use contains but as I do not have columns that match - except for Easting and Northing I do not know which column with which table to use in the dialogue. Nothing I put in seems to work and the help (instructions) is not "helpful" at all! I am sure this is really simple but it is a matter of knowing what to do.
