G'day Sharon,
You need to install the MapInfo Fonts into the Windows font directory on
every computer that is going to use the wmf.
This will enable the fonts to be displayed correctly in the wmf/emf.

I save my layout windows as *.wmf. When they are inserted as pictures into
Word or PowerPoint, the ship symbols become alpha symbols, the north arrow,
a big asterisk. These are usually inter-office computers and the document
eventually gets pdf'd. Where can I put the mapinfow.fnt file on their
machines so that the maps display and get converted correctly?
