Are you sure? I do it all often with version 7.8 (of course V6.5 won't, didn't
since acad 2005 didn't exist then...). I even did it again this morning with
7.8 UT before writing this message...

Make sure that you have all the latest patch..

Also, I remember having problem before with files that have long names or file
inside directory with also long names. Same with names with spaces or with
foreign language with accent. But I didn't try it with the latest version since
we have a strict policy of name of files and directories in our systems...

Subject: MI-L AutoCAD to MapInfo

Hello List,

I have checked the archives and realise that MapInfo v7.8 and v6.5 cannot
universal translate AutoCAD drawings saved from AutoCAD v2005.

So my question. Is there any other way of converting AutoCAD v2005 files
into MapInfo tab files without having to go back over the dwg v2005 files
and save them as lesser versions?

Thanks in advance for any help

Aaron
