If you have to edit some cartography, go through the mapinfo way. If you
just have visualization, routing or you don't want to buy maps, then to
MapPoint as all this is included.

I used Map Point back in 2000 when it first came out and it was easy to
use. However, MapInfo is much more flexible and robust (and harder to
use).

Subject: MI-L MapInfo vs. Map Point
Currently I am using Map Info version 6.0. We are thinking of upgrading
to the latest version of Map Info. However, someone else in the company
is using Microsoft Map Point. Has anyone else ever used the latter? Are
there any pros/cons re: each mapping system. Any recommendations?
Many thanks for any info anyone can pass along.
