I think you need to bind a dataset to the layer and then you should have all
the fields of the table available to create an attribute label.

Subject: MI-L MapX geoset label question

Is there a way to edit a .gst file so that it selects the
proper field to label with? It appears that it defaults to the first
char column it finds. I have tried editing some of the keys but to no
avail.

Thanks
