An alternative to trying to turn on the sticky keys
function before selecting the points would be to
purchase a mouse with programmable side buttons. I
have a Logitech brand wireless mouse and it has two
buttons on the side (using it right-handed) where my
thumb would rest. I already tested it, using the
software that comes with the mouse- you can program
the side button to act as the shift key, or any
keystroke or combo keystroke such as ctrl+x. Then all
one would have to do would be to learn to use the
thumb to hold down the side button while using the top
mouse buttons to select the points. Here's the mouse
I'm using:

Hope that helps!
