Hi Julian:

To bring an image into the layout window, I just open the image into a new
window and get it to display as oppose to registering. Then, while in the
layout window, I use the frame to place it wherever I want and how small or
large of an image I need. (Also, while you have the image in the 'New
Window' set the zoom of the image so that the image covers the whole window,
not zoomed in or zoomed out. This will bring the image into your layout as
it appears in the new window.)

Hope this help, Naz

Subject: MI-L Images in Layouts

Hullo all!

I was just doing some thinking and was wondering if anyone knew of a way
to get an image like a logo or a legend to be added to the layout window
without having to place it in a map window.

I keep running into the problem of resolution with images in a map
window being too big or small and therefore losing the aesthetics of an
image in some cases.

Or have I just been doing something the wrong way in the past and this
is easily solved?

Thanks in advance
