To be honest Johnathan Toid is not my real name. I have to say that I am too concerned to reveal my real identity because I do not know what that will mean for my employer or my career. This may sound unduly secretive but I have serious doubts about OS and their motivations.
OS are probably motivated by the terms setup by the UK government. You will see much the same terms and high prices on public geospatial data here in Denmark from our OS counterpart (KMS).
