Hi You can't do it in mapinfo without additional software. It also depends on your purpose - if it's watermanagment, then a tool like Streambuilder is the right choise, but it also requires a hydrological sound Digital height model. If it's landscape analysis, then Landserf (http://www.landserf.org ), which is freely avalible, is a very good start (and the thesis is also interesting) Ole Gregor, Udviklingskonsulent i Miljø og Teknik Viborg Amt (45) 87 27 13 07 deborah.e.henders [EMAIL PROTECTED] Til 14-07-2005 16:08 [email protected] cc Emne MI-L Splitting a country into regions based on topography Hello List, I am trying to split a country into regions based on elevation, with each valley or basin as a region. Basically, I'm trying to draw lines along the crests of hills. So far I've just drawn these lines by hand, judging it by eye. However, I would like to do this in a more objective way and I wondered if anyone knows if this can be done in MapInfo. Any advice would be welcome.
