Hi,

I find this solution somewhat too radical : when installing older software
versions on newer OS, you never know what happens : the older application
may not recognize newer version of some Window files and replace it with
older ones, so this isn't something I'd consider at the beginning.

PDF virtual printers appears like other ordinary printers under Window XP.
So click on the start menu and under the Parameter item, you'll find the
printers list. Once there, right clic on your pdf printer and choose
"properties" in the contextual menu. What you find then, depends on your
pdf virtual driver, but there ought be a way to change resolution or
printer size from there.

I have a pdf writer named "Cute PDF Writer" which is freeware
(http://www.cutepdf.com/products/CutePDF/writer.asp). It allows huge sizes
up to A0 and even bigger format in inches, it does also allow changing
the resolution, but I've never tested printing bigger than A4 and I'm
still using MIP 7.5.

The problem may be related to the change from W2000 to XP. Try to install
MapInfo 6.0 on XP and see if the problem is still the same.

Uffe
