Andrew, You can use the Thin function to remove nodes that are close to each other or in line. This would be the way to proceed:
Select the boundaries Choose the menu item Objects > Snap/Thin Now you can specify a large distance. This will remove many of your nodes. I guess you'll have to try a couple of distances until you find the perfect one HTH, Peter Horsbøll Møller GIS Developer, MTM Geographical Information & IT COWI A/S Odensevej 95 DK-5260 Odense S. Is there anyway within MapInfo to remove a certain percentage of nodes used within a boundary? If I can remove some of the nodes then the file size that I create will drop significantly. Thanks in advance for any help Andrew Tracey Information Support Officer Corporate Information Corporate Development South Tyneside Council Westoe Road South Shields NE33 2RL Tel: 0191 4247561 E-Mail : [EMAIL PROTECTED] ************************************************************************************************ ************************************************************************************************ Please do not print this e-mail if you can help it - and help protect the environment. ************************************************************************************************ This Message may contain confidential information and is protected by copyright.
