Hi Folks,

I have a table of statistical local areas (regions) and would like to append to
the table the SLA codes (identifiers) of the neighbouring SLA regions for each
record.

I'm guesing that I may have to create a looping query in MapBasic to create a
new record for each incidence of a SLA and it's neighbouring region. I'd like
to end up with a table looking like the following:

SLA Int_SLA
1 2
1 3
1 4
2 1

Where each row is an instance of two SLAs that intersect.

If someone knows of a previous reference to this I am happy to dig it out of
the archives...but I have not been successfull in my searches.

Something tells me the solution shouldn't have to be as tricky as I'm thinking.

Can anyone suggest how I should approach this?

Cheers,

Alistair.
