Hello everyone I am an AutoCAD user and a new user of MapInfo and I have probably the most stupid question, but I can not solve it.
I have 3D location information on a large number of Items which I want '"section" by using scatter graphs. I have a table that have four columns X, Y, Z (Z is information on Heights) and main category, It contain a 20,000 rows. For that I use column X as X field, Z as Y field and main category for label field in prompt window of scatter graph. When ever I try to label and mark the items according to the column "Main Category" I get an endless legend with the repetition of the same names that appear in the list. For example for the table below I would get Legend and Marking that look like "Type 1, Type 1, Type 2, Non Type, Type 1" while the desired legend and markings should look like "Type 1, Type 2, Non Type". Main Category X Y Z Type 1 5001 5007 12 Type 1 5034 5021 -13 Type 3 5068 5111 7 Non type 5064 5033 21 Type 1 5056 5023 12 So the question is, how I can label and mark scatter graph with information of one of the columns? Do I have to Use an SQL quarry in label field of the prompt window of scatter graph? If so How do I have to go about it? Yossi
