John,
I take it that the files should be imported in the same manner ?
If you open the MapBasic window before imnporting the first file, you'll get
the necessary information in here after importing a single file.
Now you need to get a list of file names to use for a "batch" conversion.
Using the command line and the dir command you can get all the file names put
into a text file in this way:
Go to Run and write "cmd" then click enter. Now navigate to the location of
your files using "cd .." to go back and "cd <foldername>" to go down into a
folder.
Yo get a list of file names into a text file you can use this command:
dir *.dxf -> c:\dxffiles.txt
Now open the file and combine the list of files with the import command from
the MapBasic window.
When you have all the lines for importing the dxf files, add these 3 lines at
the top of the file:
!Workspace
!Version 400
!CharSet WindowsLatin1
and save the file with the .wor extension.
Now you are ready to open the workspace and have your dxf files imported.

Subject: MI-L Block Conversion From DXF to .TAB
Hello Listers,
I have few hundred or so DXF files that I would like to import into MI - as far
as I can tell using MI import function this has to be done on a one by one
basis - frankly I would be quicker going out and surveying the area myself!!
(not quite) so I was wondering did anyone know of a tool that can import all
these files as a block??
Cheers,
John
