Oh, Jason, .... you know that could be it! I drew them on the layout window. That's probably not the cosmetic layer, huh. So, if I go to the layer place and make the cosmetic layer editable, then can I save it as a table (.tab) and bring it back into other maps???

That would explain why it's grayed out.... -----Original Message----- From: Valerie Scott [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, August 15, 2005 11:26 AM To: [email protected] Subject: MI-L Cosmetic Layer Questoins Hi All, I'm making a bunch of maps of Jackson County in Missouri. Each map has different thematics, legends, titles and text boxes. I have drawn arrows point ing to some specific locations that need to be repeated on each map. I thought after reading a little about cosmetic layers in the Help section that I could save the arrows by: Map > Save Cosmetic Objects. Save the layer and then add to the other maps and I wouldn't have to keep redrawing them. Two questions, I guess. 1. Is this the way it can be done? 2. My Save Cosmetic Objects choice is grayed out. Is there a better way? Thank you for your help Valerie ***Note**** Beginning Friday, August 19th, the LINC and AHEC phone systems will be upgraded to 4-digit extensions.
