Ian,

My question on how your were retrieving the data was just to make sure you were
using the standard way using either linked or live tables.

As to the invalid object. Maybe it is the last node ??

You could try just downloading a single record to see whether this is possible
? eg. "Where MI_PRINX = 5"

Thanks to those who have replied.

I am still looking for a solution.

I have managed to locate an Invalid Geometry:

        ST_Spatial(
                ST_Polygon(
                        ST_Path(
                                ST_Polyline(
                                        LIST{

ST_Point(175.367368566700,-37.837910000000),

ST_Point(175.367368550000,-37.837910083300),

ST_Point(175.368299683300,-37.838809283300),

ST_Point(175.367895383300,-37.838427183300),

ST_Point(175.367368566700,-37.837910000000)
                                        }
                                )
                        )
                ),
                ST_Point(175.368283440757,-37.838793932631)
        )

SpatialWare considers this valid, but MapInfo doesn't can anyone tell me why??

Cheers Ian

Subject: MI-L MapInfo and SpatialWare Error...

Hi All,

I keep getting the following error:

"Cannot insert an empty object into a table or layout. Unable to refresh linked
table."

I am trying to download data from a query in SQL Server. I have checked for
NULL in the SW_GEOMETRY and HG_Is_Invalid returns 0 records, so all my
geometries must be valid. I have renamed the SW_MEMBER to MI_PRINX in the
query.

Any ideas??

TIA
Cheers Ian
