I haven't any concrete info about MI, but Kari Dickenson from the Golden Software forum for Didger has been very helpful -
Hi Ian, Yes, you can use Didger to simply calibrate an image without warping it. Didger version 2 does not warp the image at all. Didger version 3 has the ability to warp an image after it is calibrated – but it is an additional (and optional) step. You might want to download the demo version of Didger 3 and try it out. Simply open the demo version and go to File / Import Bitmap / Into Raster Project to import the image. Then go to Image / Calibrate Image to calibrate it. You could then use File / Export (only active in the full version, not the demo) to export it to a georeferenced image file. Or, if you wanted to warp it, you could go to Image / Warp Image. Thanks, Kari --- Ian Thomas GeoSciSoft - Perth, Australia PS - Didger I used wrong spelling previously (Diger) - when I used the beta, in 1996, I always wondered if there was a connection to didgeridoo - I still don't know, but it should have been a good mnemonic! -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
