I have tried a hole bunch none seem to work. Problem is i have a table with 4000 GSM sites and only need to know the distance to the nearest site and the site name.
If I use the tools that I have found the query is normally find the nearest site from each site in Table A with Each site in table B. The neasest site is always itself. Copy Table was no help at all. The problem with copy table is it will still look at the same point in the duplicate table on the same location as the closest thus returning "0m" closest point being itself in dup table. Tools used sofar. CalDist Pro.mbx distance.mbx findnearestobject.mbx calcdist-280.mbx Also GridAnalyser http://www.terris.sk Still no joy. Any help will be appreciated. Did "using a copy of the table" solve it for any of them as someone suggested? -----Original Message----- From: Stephen Smith XS (MC/TKO) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, September 13, 2005 2:43 AM To: [email protected] Subject: MI-L Nearest Neighbour MBX Can anyone help me out with a nearest neighbour MBX. The ones I have come across on the net all seem seem to have to work with different tables. I have a table with 4000 random points and i just need the distance from each poit to its closest neighbour. When I use the tool I found they return "0" Stephen Smith RND & TND Manager Ericsson Oman * +968 24478279 s? +968 99447639 * [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 17845 ______________________________________________________________________ This e-mail has been scanned by MCI/MessageLabs Managed Email Service. --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 17852
