Other important information : the problem remains after removing MapInfo and
reinstalling without the patch. Could a dll be in cause and how could I
identify it?

Hi,
Has anyone experienced extreme slowness in opening workspaces after
installing the MapInfo 7.8 patch on Windows 2000 or Windows XP? On both
installations MapInfo was running normally until the patch was installed.
Would anyone have information about such a behavior?
