I quess:

Your "topography.tab" is a vector contour of heights (polylines),
and "spotheight point" is a point table with heights.

Do you want to add the two vector height tables to one and make a grid
of it ?
If so you can convert the polyline (contours) to point in VM > Create
Grid > Poly to Point menu.
Then add the point to your original point height vector and grid it to
raster in VM.

VM can not use breaklines in interpolation. It has to be points.

Subject: MI-L Converting line data in a tab file into spotheight point

Hi List,

I have a topography.tab file including Line (which is counter elevation)
and spotheight point ( points representing elevation). Now I am trying
to convert the map into grid. After creating the grid, I realized that
only points data of tab file were used, while there are a lot of
counters elevation data unused. Now how can I convert these line data
into spotheight point in the tab file? If I convert these line data into
spotheight point (point data), I will be able to create a grid file with
a good resolution.

Thanks
Ali
