I have got two MapInfo tables, one being streets divided into 50 meter sections and a Landuse category table. The streets are centre lines so there is no relationship between the two tables either interception, within, contains etc. However, I would like to associate the street table with the landuse category by building a buffer in SQL statement of about 50 or 100 meters from each street section to the landuse category so that I can capture the landuse categories that falls within the buffer region and associate them with the streets table. Can anybody tell me the SQL syntax or an alternative method of achieving this task? Any help would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.
