Hmmm, no summary posted? Here was my answer I emailed to Bill
MapInfo v8.0 also supports orthogonal polylines and polygons. Holding the CTRL key down while drawing a polyline / polygon allows you to draw a line angled at 45deg increments from the previous slope. As long as you have drawn two nodes to indicate the direction in which you would like to continue drawing a straight line you can use this feature to assist you in continuing the straight line. You may also want to consider the autonode tolerance found in Options > Preferences > Map Window. Please note that snap/autotrace feature must not be activated as the Shift and Ctrl keys have different functions when they snap/ tracing is used (as you probably already knew) - Steve On 10/27/05, Peter Horsbøll Møller <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Bill, > > Nice idea with the scotch.
