Hello, below you can find link to Mapinfo2Google.mbx, this tool converts *.tab files to Keyhole Markup Language (KML) and simply you can open it through FREE Google Earth. It includes source code so it is possible to make some changes and reverse the conversion, i hope.

I have another question - I see the paid for version of Google Earth can read a Tab file. Is it also possible to get lines, points and polygons out of Google Earth and back into MapInfo? What is their KMZ format, for example? By the way, do you think they use the ECW format and the ER Mapper Image Server, or have they developed their own? It seems very fast with all the images however they do it. One of the benefits of having a few tens of billions of dollars burning a hole in your back pocket.
