Hi Peter, I'd already implemented the fetch changes, and used TableInfo(), as per advice from Greg and Jacob, but it still wasn't working. I included the "old" code as at the time I didn't think any changes had made any difference, and as the other 2 look-ups had worked OK anyway, and, to be honest, I was re-submitting the ssame query as the first had been largely ignored.
However, I found an error in other changes I'd made, in an attempt to tackle it from another angle. When I realised this other mistake, and put it right, the dialogue now worked. But now I don't know at what stage it did work! :-( Never mind. At least I've learnt how to bullet-proof the code and will use the kind advice I've received in future. Thanks very much for the annotated code and the trouble you took to read it. I think the problem is that you restructure your table but don't "refetch" the record you want before reading from the table Peter Horsbøll Møller GIS Developer, MTM _______________________________________________ MapInfo-L mailing list [email protected] http://www.directionsmag.com/mailman/listinfo/mapinfo-l
