Or you can go to the "Table/Raster/Adjust Image Styles" menu and set the
white color to be transparent.

 The grids are stored in a rectangular matrix. You cannot remove the
white space where all the null values are. If you have two grids
overlapping you can add them to create a new grid.

  I have got some problems in creating grid buffer using vertical
mapper.I dont know how to get rid of outer boundary (white patch) of the
grid buffer which mask the other layers.I tried the trimmer tool,but
still it remains the same.
   
  Any suggestions will be very helpful.
