Hi folks,

Could someone suggest an automated way to combine a number of region
objects based on one attribute?

What I have is just under 4000 zones exported form our corporate GIS
(Smallworld). There are a number of zones which consist of multiple
geometries with a common reference attribute (range from 2 up to 14
objects). What I need to do is to combine the ones with the same
reference. Easy to do one at a time but a bit slow as there are well
over 1000 of these.

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.
