Hello All, I am writing to this list in hope that someone can offer some datum shift parameters for the Beijing 1954 datum to WGS84 or directly to Xian80. I am aware that they are widely regarded as a state secret of some kind of the People's Republic of China, but it also seems that MapInfo v8.0 has some internal parameters used for this shift, while the tools offered by ESRI do not actually perform a shift despite claiming to. I would rather not have to manipulate points through MapInfo without knowing how accurate the shift is. Does anyone know what values MapInfo uses, or how they were derived? One thing I know for sure is that I am not the only one looking for this answer. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
