Hi Eric,

TAB is a file format while WMS is a service. So it's basically apples and oranges, you can't compare the two as equals.

If your question is whether TAB can be used as a map layer in a WMS, the answer is yes. E.g., standalone Mapserver can read TABs and is a WMS and WFS server by default.

No need for any conversions, no need for an mbx.
