Hi

The first is to watch out for outliers (eg 0,0) - the consequence of just one is a very, very large VM grid and tis always end in an error

I has tried a similar amount and got the same error - my strategy was to perform a point aggregation and then and interpolation

One case was a laserscanning (50 sq km) with several points/sq meter - the purpose was hydrological modelling and a 2 meter grid, so my cooicendt point distance was 1 meter.

The other was deepth sounding for bathemetry for several hundred sq km - here we wanted a 25 meter grid and used 10 meter as aggregation distance

In both cases we could mange large amounts of points, but ended with several tiles because og the applications who should use the result

[MI-L] Big.. big file

Hi.
I have this point file X, Y, and Z it's kinda big.. Almost 19 million
points.. yes to be exact it's 18,287,002 points.
i'd like to create my grid in vertical mapper..
I keep getting this error 503.. any ideas?
and do you think Vertical mapper will be able to create my grid even if
I specify a large cell size?

TIA

Eric
