I am trying to find the pixel position and geographic position of a raster table’s control points. Is there a way of doing this without opening the tab file as a text file and parsing it myself?
Alternatively, is there a function which will tell me the resolution (meters per pixel) of a raster tab file?
Thanks
Matt

This
is the 2nd time this has happened to me
now. When I started MapInfo again, CPU usage instantly shot up to 100% and MapInfo was "unresponsive", didn't even get to the "do you want to open any of there?" pop-up. I first tried the option to "repair" the installation, with no effect, and I have now uninstalled GELink and MapInfo (which also mutilated my network profile), reinstalled both and the behaviour persists. Last time this happened the IT department ended up handing me back a re-formatted PC, and I don't want that to happen again, so I hope someone can tell me what files (or registry settings) are left behind when you uninstall MapInfo, and which of these are used by MapInfo when it starts up.
