Hi all, I had posted a message asking for help trying to get a function working
that I was trying to adapt from VB that would retrieve the list of DSN names
off a computer using MapBasic. It was rejected from the list for
being too long. However, I found the error, and it seems that the VB sources of the
code were wrong too (unless in VB passing parameters using ByVal from a
function means that the local variables get changed locally – I don’t
think so). So if anyone is interested I can supply a working function that does
this if someone wants it – because I know someone from the list would
