Subject: RE: [MI-L] MapX geoset centring problemI've tried editing it in notepad but it always centres back on the same point no matter what the centre is set to be. Here is the complete code from one of the offending geosets, 50000Col.TAB is a raster using the British National Grid Projection:!GEOSET
!VERSION 500
begin_metadata
"\GEOSET\NAME" = "SingleLayerBackground"
"\GEOSET\PROJECTION" = "8, 79, 7, -2, 49, 0.9996012717, 400000, -100000 "
"\GEOSET\CENTER" = "342632.41,166389.58"
'"\GEOSET\CENTER_USER" = "342632.41,166389.58"
"\GEOSET\ZOOMLEVEL" = "33.53"
"\GEOSET\AUTOLAYER" = "FALSE"
"\GEOSET\MAPUNIT" = "1"
"\TABLE\1\FILE" = "C:\MapData\50000Col.TAB"
"\TABLE\1\ISVISIBLE" = "TRUE"
end_metadatabut it still centres on (400000, 4470100).I also get the same result if I delete the "\GEOSET\PROJECTION..." line or corrupt it (eg. changing the word 'PROJECTION' to PROJERCTION').Could it be that this whole line is wrong?-----Original Message-----

Subject: RE: [MI-L] MapX geoset centring problemOpen the geoset .gst file in notepad and set the center manually. Does this work?e.g. one of my UK geosets looks like this at the top. So set the "\GEOSET\CENTER_USER" to the easting and northing you want."\GEOSET" = ""
"\GEOSET\NAME" = "GB"
"\GEOSET\PROJECTION" = "8,79,7,-2,49,0.9996012717,400000,-100000"

Subject: [MI-L] MapX geoset centring problemHello,I am having problems opening MapX Geosets in MapInfo (7.5/7.8).Whenever I attempt to open a geoset it loads the data and then zooms to a completely different place than it is supposed to. Geosets using the British National Grid projection seem to centre on (400000, 4470100) no matter where the centre should be.This does not seem to be a problem with geosets saved with a lat/long projection, but seems to affect geosets saved in the other projections I've tried. It also doesn't seem to be a problem when opening them in MapInfo 6.5.Most of the data being used is saved with the British National Grid projection, including some rasters, which demands that the geoset projection is the same.I am using Mapx Geoset Utility (Version 2.6) as a tool in MapInfo. Is there any way of fixing this?Tim Aldridge*********************************************************
