Yes, that's right.
If you know MapX & .NET, you'll understand MapXtreme 2004/2005 - you just need 
to re-write a lot of stuff.
I chose to use C# because, even though my old MapX was C++, C# is the natural 
.NET language and MapXtreme seemed to code more cleanly that way.

It depends which version of MapX/MapXtreme you compare. Old MapX vs. old 
MapXtreme should be similar. Same with new MapXtreme .Net Desktop to MapXtreme 
.Net Web ...
